Programme Overview

Diploma in Endoscopic Technology (DET) is a specialized paramedical programme designed to prepare students for careers in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The programme provides comprehensive knowledge and practical training in endoscopic procedures, patient care, endoscope handling, equipment maintenance, and infection control practices.

Students are trained to assist gastroenterologists, surgeons, and healthcare professionals during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety and effective operation of endoscopic equipment.

Course Duration

The duration of the course is 2 Years and 6 Months.

• 2 Years of academic study and practical learning.
• 6 Months of compulsory practical training.

Examination Pattern

Students are assessed through theoretical and practical examinations based on the prescribed curriculum.

Practical Training

Students are required to successfully complete 6 months of practical training in recognized healthcare institutions as part of the programme.

The pass certificate will be issued only after successful completion of the practical training period. No stipend is payable during the training period.
