Programme Overview

Diploma in Neurology Technology (DNT) is a specialized paramedical programme designed to train students in neurological diagnostic procedures, neurophysiology, patient care, and modern neurodiagnostic technologies. The programme prepares healthcare professionals to assist neurologists and healthcare teams in diagnosing and monitoring neurological disorders.

Students gain comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical clinical training in neurological investigations such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potential Studies, Nerve Conduction Studies, and other neurodiagnostic procedures. The programme emphasizes patient care, technical competence, and professional skills required in neurology departments and healthcare institutions.

Course Duration

The duration of the course is 2 years, consisting of:

  • Part I (First Year) – Theoretical and practical training.
  • Part II (Second Year) – Advanced studies and clinical exposure.

Examination Pattern

The course is divided into two parts, and examinations are conducted at the end of each part.

  • Each part consists of two examination papers.
  • Written examinations.
  • Oral (Viva Voce) examinations.
  • Practical examinations.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in each subject is required for a pass.

Practical Training

Successful completion of the programme requires students to undergo 6 months of practical training as part of the curriculum. The pass certificate will be issued only after the successful completion of this training period.

No stipend is payable during the practical training period.
