Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT) is a specialized paramedical programme designed to prepare students for careers in medical imaging and diagnostic radiology. The programme provides comprehensive training in radiographic procedures, imaging techniques, radiation safety, patient care, and the operation of modern diagnostic imaging equipment.
Students acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills required to assist radiologists and healthcare professionals in performing diagnostic imaging procedures. The programme emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and professional competence in radiological practices.
The duration of the course, including practical training, is 2 Years and 6 Months.
The examination is conducted at the end of the second year, followed by a compulsory practical training period of six months.
Students are required to successfully complete 6 months of practical training in recognized hospitals and diagnostic imaging departments as part of the programme.
The pass certificate will be issued only after successful completion of the practical training period. No stipend is payable during the training period.
